We're witnessing the feathering of some very fine five-star farmhouses, perfectly pretty poshtels, historically radiant restorations, bespoke boutiques and inspiring venue openings for "I-do's." Since we know you like to be the first to get the lowdown, we've assembled an all-star list of the most beautiful and buzziest 100+ new venues from 2015 and into 2016 for your to get out and gather gorgeous ones.

In April, 2015 St. Jerome's Hotel is took luxury camping to the next level in the heart of the Melbourne. Uniquely perched on a rooftop with 360-degree city views, this glamping hotspot is outfitted with 20 canvas bell tents dressed with all of the trimmings one would find in a hotel. Each tent even has complimentary stocked esky with local craft beer and water. Fall asleep under the stars with your besties and wake up to a complimentary gourmet breakfast box delivered in the morning and coffee prepared from the onsite barista. Talk about serious pedigree, this 150-year-old-church re-opened it's doors in 2015. It is no longer preaching the good word, but as an event space, it’s dramatic, intimate and wonderful for weddings. Rounding out the radiance is grand timber ceilings, detailed stain glass windows and a whitewashed wooden hall. This is one renovation that will make you say “holy moly” and mean it.
Say hello to a photographer’s dream and pretty much the world’s most perfect aisle in the middle of Australia’s deepest lake leading to an unforgettable gathering space as of January 2015. Every point of view is perfectly picturesque at Pumphouse Point. This all-but-forgotten structure from Australia’s bygone industrial era has become a luxury boutique hotel offering 360-degree views of unspoiled wilderness.
While away the halcyon days of summer at one of the most immensely beautiful new boutique hotels on the beach that opened in 2015. Set between "the stunning sun-bleached coastline and the rolling green hinterland of northern New South Wales’ Cabarita Beach.” The rooms are a lovely mix of textures and patterns in shades of blues, yellows and deep fuchsia accents that just make us all kinds of happy. Gorgeous for a weekend getaway, beach wedding or cool corporate collective, this one is certainly a gathering gem.
This new whitewashed event barn has been carefully curated by published interior designer Lynda Gardner. It is surrounded by a mini orchard and harvest gardens that can be utilized during your event. The Barn space is available for events, gatherings, workshops, weddings and photo shoots. Sidenote: The house is just as gorgeous and provides overnight accommodation!
Rustic isn't simply a trend, it's a feeling and it's resplendent throughout this radiant working farm & barn. Weekend at Waldara amid some of the most stunningly wild Australian landscape or wed with the most beautiful natural backdrop a bride could ever wish for. Between luxurious farmhouse settings, spectacular surroundings and elegant barn, this has gorgeous gathering spot written all over it.
Architecturally designed with intimate gatherings in mind, it’s stunning and picturesque views are as perfect as it’s design and decor. Gather your creatives for an offsite or take a walk on the wild side and do your “I-do’s” at this boho, beachy chic collective.
Due to open in January of 2016, we’re holding our collective breath for this Balinese beauty. The Katamama is billed as a cultural story cloaked in a chic and contemporary hotel with an Indonesian artisan’s spirit. While most of the design is under wraps, you can believe we’ll be blogging about this beauty once it opens for business. Word on the street is that you will be able to gather in the cult onsite Spanish restaurant MoVida or around one heck of a beautiful pool setting.
With a soft open in September, the Alila group brings their special brand of sophistication to Seminyak. Already overrun with the big boys – W, Anantara, Oberoi (whom we also love) the Alila brings a boutique feel to this swanky Balinese beach town. It’s located at the quieter end of an 8-km beach of the Indian Ocean and focuses heavily on luxury with suites that feel like your own little apartment.

Freehand Los Angeles promises to be created and curated for adventurers around the world who now don’t need to chose between awesome accommodations and experiences. Opening in 2016

As California’s tallest open-air observation deck, OUE Skyspace offers a sleek, modern space with breathtaking 360-degree views of the LA skyline. They’re in the process of moving from the 71st floor to it’s brand new beautiful home on the 70th – come 2016, make sure you beautiful brides welcome them to the neighborhood.
While West Hollywood isn’t known for being either understated or under-the-radar, this buzzy hidden hot spot won’t be flying low for long. With a fresh new design and recent upgrades, including a pool, sun deck and lush landscaping as well as it’s proximity to the shops, bars & restaurants of Robertson & Santa Monica Boulevards – San Vicente Bungalows is primed to become the city’s latest luxurious staycation.

Once the posh playground for Hollywood A-listers and presidents in the 1950’s, renowned designer Steve Hermann has redesigned L’Horizon back to it’s gorgeous and glamorous gathering roots. The luxury resort has been redesigned with 25 bungalows "The rooms—have the flair of a midcentury gentleman’s club."- Architectural Digest. This “Museum as Retail Space” Gallery (MaRS) is a contemporary art gallery located on the East bank of the LA river, built in 1923 as an alcohol bottling and distillery plant pre-Prohibition. Founded by Max Factor's heirs, Smashbox Studios is an iconic and creative hub for world-renowned directors, photographers and dare we say it... party planners? After undergoing an extensive renovations, this remodel is both intimate for your real real goods or large enough to host your next red carpet gala. Centrally located in the heart of Culver City, this iconic space is a blank canvas for your celebration creativity.
Set on a nearly untouched island in the Caribbean (we know you’re already listening – as were we) this is five stars for a new world. Expect white sand beaches and crystal-clear waters, overlooking The Narrows, a strait separating St. Kitts and the volcanic island of Nevis. If you’re thinking warehouse industrial with a cold connotation, think again. It’s already been named a “World Luxury Hotel” as well as a Member of the Design Hotels. Like the coolest NYC loft you’ve ever seen with a signature Hong Kong twist. Want some more unique twists? Dine at the Cirqle restaurant and tuck into healthy Mediterranean style East-Asian cuisine within relaxed canteen-inspired surroundings where you can watch the chefs do their thing at lightening speed.

We know the Six Senses brand has some out-of-this-world stunning spots in far-flung and fabulous locations – and this is no different. Miami as it was meant to be – the hip EDITION brand comes to “mid-Beach”– and how. Sophisticated and stylish, at The Miami Beach EDITION, the pool is re-imagined 1950’s tropical Havana and the food a modern interpretation of Latin cuisine by Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. Fun fact: their outdoor beach cinema also made our list of the best outdoor cinemas in the world.
The level of detail at this luxurious Paris outpost of opulence is exactly as you would expect – completely astounding. We recently got an insider’s glimpse into this gorgeous soon-to-be open gathering space and it is literally took our breath away! With 15 signature suites, including the iconic Coco Chanel suite and the largest pool in Paris – it’s setting the stage for some utterly magnifique affairs. The original furniture was kept, but painstakingly restored stich by stitch – and with the addition of the first Chanel spa in the world – you can be sure this is one spectacular soiree spot. The word on the street is that there is going to be even more event space!
Another icon is reborn this year, the Hotel de Crillion, which has sparkled with celebrations in the heart of Paris since 1758. Commissioned in 1758 by King Louis XV—the finished hotel will feature larger guest rooms, suites designed by Karl Lagerfeld, a subterranean pool, a spa, and a wine cellar with a tasting room under the new management of Rosewood Hotels & Resorts. Celebrate with you chic amis at the foot of the Champs-Élysées.
In the heart of the eastern district of Paris, away from the glitz and opulence cast by the re-opening of both Hotel Crillon & the Ritz Paris, lies luxury for a new generation steeped in quintessential Parisian cool. Hotel Providence was built in 1854 and within each of the 18 rooms, including 3 junior suites and one large suite, are custom-made bars modeled after Parisian ancestors. Billed as sort of the “anti-opulent” hotel (but no less beautifully curated than some of it’s larger counterparts), while still reflecting the rich cultural heritage of the Montmarte neighborhood, its recent renovation revels in the “thugs, artists, adventurers and musicians” it attracts. Le Pigalle reflects the gritty, yet gorgeous and interesting Parisian subset that appealed to generations upon generations of artists who lived and breathed in this neighborhood for years. Head to the Ground floor for your fete – “It has a café, bar and restaurant, a vinyl record library, and a newspaper and book kiosk, all run by the colourful characters who make Pigalle what it is. There are parties, DJ sets and table dancing, providing guests with a foretaste of what they can expect as they explore the uncharted jungle that is Paris.”
Another resort that opened in late 2014, but how often do we get to talk about this perfect private island retreat that once belonged to Marlon Brando and can now be yours (temporarily of course) in fabulous French Polynesia? Ok, whenever we want to – but we still aren’t tired of it! Think pristine ocean and tropical forests surrounded by sea turtles, manta rays and exotic birds. It’s got 35 villas on white san beaches and is a part of National Geographic’s Unique Lodges of the World program. Saddle up to the Te Manu open-air bar with private tree-top seating areas reached only by walkways through palm canopys.

This 1890’s Venetian Gothic landmark springs back to life as one of the hottest historic Chicago hotels of the decade. With a 2015 opening, the hotel was gussied up by the Roman and William design geniuses. The iconic property has 17,000 square feet of creative event spaces including a basketball court and gorgeous gothic ballroom. With over 200 rooms, this stunner is ideal for group getaways, social events and weddings. We have a feeling we will be seeing lots of celebrations popping up here in 2016.
Located in the heart of the Windy City, feel out the Freehand Chicago for your next Second City soiree. The second Freehand outpost to make this list is housed in a classic 1927 building in Chicago’s vibrant River North neighborhood - home to some of Chicago's best art galleries, boutiques and restaurants. This ‘posh’tel is nothing like the hostels of old, boasting inventive design & food – but it does still manage to capture the beautiful community spirit for which these structures were initially built. Fun Fact: They are very group friendly and have lots of offers for groups of 10+. Think b-day bash, bachelorette, bachelor or bridal shower perhaps?
Gather in 'The Manor' venue, an ideal space for a meeting of the minds or a large social gathering at the brand new Virgin Hotel in downtown Chicago. The Ace Hotel Group has announced an opening date of March 14th , 2016 for their new Big Easy digs and while that is after Mardi Gras, it’ll be open in time for Jazz Fest. Arguably one of the hottest hotel openings of 2016, the Portland-based hotel brand has announced that this location will feature 234 guest rooms, a rooftop pool bar, Stumptown café, and a craft-centric bar and restaurant. You know, in case you’re already planning your next trip! We are.

One of the most exciting openings of the year for us gathering space gurus! We were told to expect greatness of this Texas Hill Country architectural marvel and we were not disappointed. Striking modern architecture set against a native, Texas landscape is the perfect juxtaposition we didn’t know we needed. But we do. There are multiple indoor and outdoor venue options and configurations to chose from for any chic celebration.. and those chairs. Gah.
Not gonna lie – Kimpton is killing it this year. The Goodland in Santa Barbara has already made our luxe list – but this Austin outpost is just as cool, having cultivated an air of creative independence and artistic sophsitcation. As we know, Austin doesn't really like to be confined or defined, so naturally the same goes for the food. Geraldine's menu is smart, fun and totally Texan.
While we’re all for keeping Austin weird, we’ve come across a brand-spanking new boutique hotel keeping it beautifully bespoke. Mid-century modern in design, it boasts a march for any drum your heart beats for. Hope you can keep up – try the all-day café, American bar & grill, juicery and coffee bar or the sushi bar helmed by James Beard and Top Chef winner Chef Paul Qui. How about a little retail therapy? Stroll into Sunroom for women’s cool clothing and accessories. Need your bike repaired? There’s an onsite motorcycle repair shop. How about a mani/pedi? There’s a salon for that too. Basically, if you’re a bad-ass babe who loves design, rides a chopper and needs her nails done before setting the city on fire, this hotel is for you.

King River Ranch is owned and was designed by global event designer of Willem-Aidan, floral & event design house to the celebrity lounges at the Screen Actor's Guild Awards, Cadillac and Audi.
