Inside Scoop

True story: We’re obsessed with the PBS show Antique Archaeology. So, it was a moral imperative that we made a detour to visit their LeClaire, Iowa shop during our last NYC↠SLC road trip. We had juuuust enough room in our rig to squeeze in an endearingly banged-up life-size wooden Jesus. Whereas his lack of hands and removable head may have deterred other buyers, to us it made him even more special. He watches over our side-hustle biz making artisan hand-crafted cocktail bitters in one of the private loft spaces. He makes appearances at events by request.

Design:

We fashioned our historic warehouse space to be more than just another blank venue place. It’s a little gritty, a lot glam. In one word? Gorgeous.

Huge industrial loft windows bring in stellar natural light all day and sparkling city lights at night. Separate downstairs entrance off of the walkable transit line looks like you’re stepping into a warehouse that’s been hit by some pretty sly graffiti artists. Inside is a whole other world: double-height ceilings, elegant custom furnishings, reclaimed wood, brass and glass elements.

A pretty sweet urban warehouse vibe: Dark floors. White walls. Huge plants (they’re like our leafy children). Secret nooks with comfy chairs invite conversation and connection.

All event spaces completely updated stem-to-stern with brand spankin’ new HVAC, flooring and custom paint in 2017, including full modern kitchen and wet bar.
